Akash Balti Tandoori, 148 Elson Road, Gosport PO12 4AA ("we", "us") is responsible for the personal information you give us when you use this website, order online or contact us. This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law.

What we collect

  • Your name, phone number and email address.
  • Your delivery address and postcode (for delivery orders).
  • Your order details: what you ordered, when, and any notes you add.
  • Your account details if you create an account (your password is stored in a protected form and we cannot read it).
  • Payment status. Card payments are taken by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Whether you have agreed to receive text message offers from us.

Why we use it

  • To take, prepare, deliver and confirm your order, and to contact you about it (for example if we are running late or need to check an address). This is needed to carry out your order.
  • To keep records of sales, refunds and complaints, and to meet our accounting and legal duties.
  • To send you offers by text message, only if you have ticked the box to say you agree. You can withdraw that at any time in My account, or by replying STOP to any message.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent fraud.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share only what is needed with companies that help us run the service:

  • Our payment provider (Stripe or Worldpay) to take card payments.
  • Techno Touch Ltd (ICO registration ZB792359), which provides and hosts our online ordering system and stores and processes your order and account information on our behalf and only on our instructions. The system runs on servers in the United Kingdom provided by our hosting company, EUKHost.
  • Our email provider (to send order confirmations and password resets).
  • Our text message provider (to send order updates and offers you have agreed to).
  • Address lookup services (so we can check your delivery address).
  • Delivery drivers, who see your name, address and phone number only for your delivery.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for as long as the law requires for accounting, normally up to 6 years. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Marketing consent records are kept so we can show your choice was respected.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your basket. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. Contact us using the details below and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
